Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first lesson.

What areas do you serve?

I serve Naples and the surrounding Southwest Florida area within approximately a 25-mile radius, including Marco Island, Bonita Springs, and greater Collier County. If you are unsure whether I come to your neighborhood, just give me a call at 239-351-9011.

Do you teach Windows and Apple computers?

Yes! I teach both Windows (including Windows 10 and Windows 11) and Apple devices including Mac, iMac, MacBook, and iPad. I adapt entirely to whichever platform you already own and prefer.

I have never used a computer before. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Many of my students are complete beginners. I start from the very basics — turning the computer on, using the mouse or trackpad, and navigating the screen — and we build from there at whatever pace feels comfortable for you.

How long is a typical lesson?

Most lessons run about one hour, though we can adjust the length based on your energy level and goals. There is no rush. If you need a break or want to review something again, we simply take our time.

Do you come to my home?

Yes, all lessons are conducted in the comfort and privacy of your own home. You learn on your own device, in your own environment, which makes it much easier to remember what you practiced.

What topics can you cover?

Common topics include email setup and management, video calling with family (FaceTime, Zoom, Google Meet), safe internet browsing, online shopping, managing photos, password security, file organization, and much more. We focus on whatever is most useful to you.

How do I schedule a lesson?

Simply call or text me at 239-351-9011 or send an email to Lburst67@yahoo.com. I will find a time that works for your schedule.

What if I forget what I learned?

That is completely normal and nothing to worry about. Repetition is part of learning. I am happy to review any topic as many times as needed until it feels natural.
